Almost finished with exterior...just finished new look...new wheels/lip!
Sold my cf lip and just got these wheels. Also got a se front lip. Now i just need a jdm ix rear and i'll be set.

you people obviously did not read the Mitsubishi whitepaper, or the quoted downforce and drag specs of each aero part.
The VG on its own reduces drag by moving the trailing edge forward, and does not need a wing to perform this function.
Saying a VG without a wing is RICE, i mean c'mon! The HUGE F'ing wing is RICE.
even though the specs say it essentially increases the weight of the rear, and reduces it on the front - you don't actually feel these effects unless your doing 120mph and turning...
anyway... the car looks hot.

A Vortex Gen is designed to create turbulence for the wing to work HARDER in providing more downforce to the rear wheels. This application is NO DIFFERENT than when there is a Vortex Generator affixed to the leading edge of a aircraft wing. The purpouse is to create a vortex and provide for more lift on what again? What does a plane have that requires it to fly? A WING!!!!!!!!! The only difference between a Evo and a Plane, is the plane is trying to lift off the ground and fly, and an Evo is trying to stay put on the ground and push power to the ground from the wheels. If he has a VG and no rear wing, Design over function.
To each his own!! and yes the VG without a wing is just as rice as a FWD civic with a huge wing creating rear downforce on a FWD powered car...
Other than that, the car is immaculate and very nice!!

rice is having neon glow and a wing from pepboys not a friggin VG with plastic chrome spinners. christ, some of you are just idiots. By saying anything non functional is rice then your saying the lip is rice, your saying emblems are rice, your saying the whole car's styling is rice. well its not, so get over being scared of things being rice, especially when its a just a little vortex generator. Shiny wheels aren't rice either, they are nice to look at. Not everybody wants the same old black or gold wheels. And they probably weigh just as much as your wheels too.
