so i'm thinking of swapping my evo viii bumpers and hood for an OEM evo vii kit. my question is if anyone has converted an viii to a vii and does it truly line up right or does it just not look right?

 

Yeah certainly does. I went from a 7 to a 8 hood and bumper conversion. Not sure how it will line on with US spec crash beam. I still have my evo VII aluminium hood and rear bumper which I want to sell. One slight problem. I live in New Zealand. Pm. if you are intersted in buying.

 

If you look at some of my old posts, you might find some info. The front beam needs to be altered. The hood is different on the front edges where it lines up with the bumper, so you must replace both. It will cost you north of 3k for the front end conversion with paint, 4k with rear.

Z1auto.com carries both bumpers and the hood. You might want to ask them how much the jdm crash beam is if you want to keep it.

 

word! i was looking at the ones from z1, to do a full kit front and rear.
