Got my Rexpeed Type C C/F spoiler

hey guys just installed my carbon fiber Type C spoiler. so far i love it. i was kinda hesitant to buy it since all i wanted was the lip but i had holes in the trunk lid that needed to be covered so i opted for the type c instead. i love the look and the spoiler itself looks great. it's held down with 3m tape since the holes didnt matchup (non stock wing holes on lid). Derek gave me a great price and it was pretty quick in shipping too. it came in before the 2 week estimate. for Rexspeed.

don't like it. never liked the design of that part. Sure it covers holes. But still don't like it.

I ordered and received a painted one. The holes pretty much matched up but there's like a millimeter gap. Was that why you used 3M tape? Or was tape supposed to come with the wing and I just didn't receive it?

Loving the spoiler...not loving the Toyo decal; unless you are sponsored by them.

i used the tape because i didnt have the stock holes (RS). i had an APR wing before so the holes didnt matchup. so i had some tape left over and used it on this

the toyo decals were from when i got the car. it was on there for a promotion from Toyo. but i'm working on getting them off. which will probably be this weekend. if you look at the first picture and look at the wall you'll see what i'm talking about.

i had a similiar experience w/ rexpeed. the first spoiler had many flaws in the weave. they replaced it w/ another...,except this time the mounting holes were filled with resin. the replacement also has a quarter sized bubble in it.

looks like im not the only one with these issues. its too bad because the parts look good in the pictures and their feedback is good too in the vedndor section. it just doesnt make sense that you had to 3m it down.

well to there defense my car is a RS so it didnt start out with any holes in the trunk lid. the wing it did have was an APR wing which doesnt match up to the stock wing holes anyways. so thats why i had to 3m it down. i must say that it's pretty sturdy!
