NOT feeling it, but hey, to each their own.. as one person, who has actually had to get a new oil cooler and change it.... I am wondering about how it effects aerodynamics at high speed?
I remember after I took out the plastic underbody tray, the front end got a little squirrly at high speeds (over 100)....

nah, I doubt it.
nice craftsmanship, but a lot of carbon for something that wont get used much.

Interesting item. Would like to see how well it works on the drag strip.

I think it would have looked better if the ends were closely resembling the outline of the bumer.

How about making some holes or horizonal/vertical cuts to allow some air flow to reach the cooler. This way you have some aero while keeping most of the functionality of the oil cooler.

you obviously have not put your car on a track, and by that i mean circuit racecourse and not 1/4 mile..

if you ever make it to the track please pull off the oil cooler and tell me what temps you hit you in 2 laps..
they put it there for a reason
Going by his mod list its pretty obvious what this car is used for.

Buschur Built and Tuned T4Z 88HTA... Highest WHP Evo IX on Buschur Dyno. 573whp 10.4 at 137mph on Straight 93 octane and 665whp on VP 10.02 and 146.30mph! All on DOT tires... no slicks here.
Bushwacker Trans w/ VIII 4th

Indy/Wilson v2 Intake Manifold

Thats like seeing a pic of an evo on drag slicks and saying good luck at Pikes peak!!!

OK I understand alot of you dont like the panals and that is fine. My reasoning for these panals where to smooth out the air flow in the front of the car, it is so close to a 9 sec pass on stock Advans I can taste it. Whatever little bit of something I can do to get there I will.

To the DB that posted about no cooler = kkkkaaaaaabbbbbboooommmmm Read the intranetz somemore. Do you realize not all cars come with an oil cooler?

David Buschurs 9.11 DD Evo aint got an oil cooler. SloRice and Spin2GSt aint got them either. All these cars are over 600+ whp.

I drove the car 2.5 hrs eachway way to the track and friday. When I got there the engine was still running and it was still running when I got home that night after 4 low 10 sec passes

Buschurs top secret oil must do the job

That is exactly my point..
it a drag car, no need for an oil cooler.

as a drag car i think the oil does not have enough time to actually get very hot.
that is why Dave doesnt run one, but again not all our cars live one quarter mile at a time... there is more to an EVO than going fast in a straight line.

well that at least why i bought mine

were I am driving around normally I see oil temps of 100 deg Celsius driving around town.
on the track after a few hot laps it gets up to 130 deg.
Drag cars work very hard for 10 secs....

If you can make it smaller to fit the counters exactly it would look much better. I think most people are disliking it because its too big to flow well with the bumper.

Try cutting it down to the the outline of the bumper like this:

Its just a small difference but looks better.

Make a 3rd one to block off (or at least partially block) the radiator, with some sort of quick release mechanism. Pop it off between runs and for street use (to/from the track). You also might want to close off the bottom of the back bumper, if you have not done it already.
