This is going to sound like a total n00b question, because it is, but how much stronger are forged? Is the price difference due mainly to how baller forged wheels are, or something else too?

I had to have a custom front brake setup fabbed to fit the 15" wheels, then about 2 months later AMS came out with their lightweight front brake kit which is essentially the same thing I'm running, and for less money. They also have a new rally front brake setup which is sweet and still less than I paid. Day late, dollar short, story of my life.

That pic is when I was running Yokohama A033 gravel tires which are a 215 width but I'm on Michelins now which are 195/70-15. You want something somewhat narrow to punch through the loose stuff on top, whether it's gravel or dirt, to the hard pack below where there's much better grip.

Here's a better pic of the brakes, this is on 17" wheels, they look tiny:

Getting any sort of decent brake package under 15" wheels is always a big PITA.

+35mm offset, 15.5 lb, 17 X 8 RPF1's from Tirerack.

mounted on "like" new OEM Yokohama A046Ds, and used a set of black Rays Duralumin lugnuts for extra weight savings

Has tirerack started selling RPF1's in black yet? Or did you have to powdercoat those yourself? I need me some 17x9.5 +38 in black...

Tirerack has them in black yes, BUT i dont believe they are selling 17x9.5+38, BUT i could be wrong, last time i checked they did not stock that size and have to order them just like all the other vendors. But then again i could be completely wrong. Best of luck on your purchase. i just bought the same wheels in sliver same size from Evasive. cant wait for them to arrive

RPF1 were on evvverrrryyyyy car at sema this year. I couldn't believe it

For some reason, these rims look much better in some lighting than in others.

My set are 18x8.5 +30 (again, they look very aggressive in some light and weak in other)
