I say it depends on where you live and how strict the police are. I had 20% all around since I bought the car in july and got pulled over relentlessly for it, not for my exhaust, nor my driving, just tints. I just got them all removed this morning, I snapped last night when I got pulled over for the 3rd time in 24 hours. Cops out here in NY are doing anything they can to get the city some money. I love the way tints look man, but the headache isn't worth it.

if i am getting it done, it will happen tomorrow when i go with my buddy to a tint shop. any last second words of advice? I would love to hear about people in PA and trouble with the cops. i live in the burbs and i know cops outside of the city are srticter on tint. considering getting a lighter (30%) tint hopefully to draw less attention. lets hear it PA guys, trouble with the cops? thanks!

20% is pretty hard to see out of at night. im a very cautious driver and look at other cars as they drive by in the other lane. with windows up i can only see headlights and cant make out what kind of car im lookin at. reversing i just make sure by rolling down the windows even if its cold out. so ive worked around all the inconviences. worth it in my book. looking to move to someplace where it is legal

Tint!

Definitely tint, it makes the whole car look much cleaner and put together. Plus I like driving without people being able to clearly see inside...

hey guys, took the plunge...got the tint. decided to go with 30%, wanted something between 20-30 but it was either or. looking back on it i wish i had gone 20 bc 30 isnt quite dark enough...but it looks classy, not to dark, and hopefully wont draw any unwanted attention bc you can still see in. good for driving at night as well. went to a buddies tint shop, lifetime warranty, llumar tint, 165 out the door. cant complain! thanks for all the input guys, hopefully ill be happy with the 30!

Hey man I have an 04 tb ssl as well. The tints make the car look nicer in my opinion. I got 20% in the back and 35% in the front.... tints up front aren't legal here in IL but I haven't had tooo many problems. I got mine done for a steal... $100 in IN w/ lifetime warranty and they did a great job. No bubbles or anything. You'll appreciate the tints come summer time!

yea tint isnt legal here at all either, thats why i was concerned with getting 20. i dont think ill get hassled for the 30 bc you can still see in the windows, but i still think i like the look of the 20 better. its just give and take, dont want to pay more for a ticket than i did for the tint. anyone here with 30 and wish they went darker?
