Bumping this seriously old thread- hoping someone has answers.

I have my jdm lamps apart, and I am swapping projectors. I don't know how to remove the bottom HID mount where the "motor" adjuster snaps in. it looks like it has a ball and socket style mount, and the headlight electric motors themselves just go in an out driving the ball/socket forward or back.

IIRC when I did mine I just popped the ball out of the socket by pulling a bit, shouldn't take much force. Will snap back in easily.
