Pics! - M1 Bar and Simpon Belts
Yo guys, I recently installed an M1 harness bar and a Simpson 5-point harness with cam locks in my Evo. The install was pretty simple and I was able to retain the original belts. I use the stock belts on the street and plan to use the 5-point for track and auto-x. The pictures show 4-points since I think I can't safely use the 5th belt with the stock seat due to the angle that it is at. I might have to cut the seat, and I don't want to do that... Here are the pictures...

yo guys. no, the belt isn't twisted, I just accidently twisted it when I clipped the belts together to take the pictures. I realized that it was twisted after I got inside and didn't feel like going back out to take more pictures haha... as for the seat movement, the bar is far enough back that the seat can slide all the way back and just touch the bar. I was really happy with the fitment. Everything went right in and I was glad that I could still use the stock seat belt for the street.

Fireball can you explain why its not safe for track use? I've heard the theroy that you can't move if the car rolls over, but I ready an article in, I think, super street where the writer actually got in touch with a car manufacturer and confirmed with their engineers that you want to stay exactly in your seat and as close to the B pillar as possible. But I know it is a big debate as to if the bar is safe or not.
... I got the bar from CBRD. It was used form another guys car. I know Spearco also sells a bar for a few hundred dollars. The belts were $300... the only downfall with the bar is that the rear seats are useless. If someone sits back there the bar is about 10 inches from their face. but for me its working out well.

Because the harness holds you in place and you can't bend forward. Therefore in the event of a rollover, should the roof collapse, the remaining weight of the car will be placed squarely on your head.
