Had some time today so I decided to sand down my wing.

about an hour into it.

1.5 hours.

What it should look like once it has clear on it again.

A sanding block, 80 and 180 grit sandpaper. It looks really shinny in the last pics simply because it is wet. still needs to be cleared.

So if you go too far you wont damage the carbon fiber?

It's not hard to see when the clear coat is gone. Dont think you can do much damage to the CF.

I've been down to 100 grit and I still have a lot of clear on the wing, guess I'll go down to 80 next. Did you use elbow grease or an electric sander?

I had to use 80 when I did mine. It was kind of scary using such a low grit, but it ate through the clearcoat amazingly. Just be sure to go over it with a much higher grit before you clear, or you'll see some sand scrathes in the clearcoat.
