FYI, I found rubber floormats for us snowbelt people . Mats.com has rubber floormats which fit specifically for the EVO.

Ordered these and found that they do not fit as well as I believe is required to prevent damage to the car. To the credit of the US distributor they accepted their return and refunded all money paid, including shipping.

The UK manufacture has a Evo specific mat but the US distributor does not bring it into the country.

Also the Mitsu winter mats are not designed for the US LHD car thus is not an option.

My solution, until there is something better, is a set of Wallmart mats which are designed to be cut to fit the vehicle in question. The cost was about 20% of the mats cited above and fit much better.
