Operation: Revival of a BBY **56k take a nap**
So it all started in November of 08' when I purchased this car with a salvage title for $8k. Being a long time DSMer, I always wanted an Evo but just haven't been too fond of the car loan that usually comes along with them. So I found this car for sale (on this very forum) and made my move by selling my pride and joy ( my mint 97 TSi AWD) to buy the hurting Evo.
It took a lot, but it all fell into place. Here's what I started with...
Left Quarter Damage
Left Rear Door Damage
Left Front Door Damage
Left Rocker Panel Damage
Left Fender/Front Bumper/Hood Damage
Radiator Support Damage
Underneath Radiator Support Damage
Oilpan Damage
Rear Floorpan Damage
Gastank Damage
Time to really survey the damage. Removed the fender, fender liner, front bumper, crash bar, headlight, and taillight. Left the hood on for obvious reasons being that the car is sitting outside in the weather.
Picked up a replacement hood. It has a dent that needs some attention but hey you can't go wrong for 50 bucks!
During the downtime I took apart and painted the one good remaining headlight black...
Saved the front bumper by repairing it during my off time at work..
Income tax check arrives. Time to spend some money!
New tires mounted. Stockers painted bronze...
It's a nice day and I'm bored. Let's mount the new fmic.
And that is where I stand at the moment. I am trying to find a fender for the car. Once I get that, the car can go on the frame machine to get the radiator support pulled and then the real progress can start.

That looks like its gonna be a nice investment! I remember reading you got one, I think it was oneof the DSM forums! I looked at your thread and thought to myself, damn!, if only I could find a wrecked, but repairable evo!
I see you sold your talon to fund the evo! I tried to but I just said **** it and bought the evo on top of owning my 1g.
Although, there is a kid that is wanting to give me 13K for the talon now. Just waiting for him to come and look at it!
Great build, keep us updated. I cant wait to see that thing all repaired and fresh!
