L.E.D. Taillights!?!
I'm a huge fan of LED tailllights. Has anyone changed the stock bulbs with LEDS as yet? Is it even possible to change the bulbs to LEDS? please post any pics if you can.. Thanks

They suck. The look when lit is close to stock. Not as bright though. They don't work too great in the reverse light either. Overall, if you can deal with a fast blinking signal and want to be less visible, go for it. Otherwise, leave then stock.

to me at least, the stock pattern kinda looks like a set of LEDs. I know my friend commented when I first got the car about how it had led taillights. I think its the reflection pattern that makes it look like a bunch of LEDs.
But sorry, I don't know where to get actual ones though

I don't know where you would find replacements, but the red plastic may cancel out any LED bulb anyway.

Oh, did I mention that I have them on my car and they can be ordered at www.superbrightleds.com. Not worth the money though as I stated above.

if they made the inverse LEDs like them ones that look like squares on top of the led, those would probably work well for tail lights, but I dont think they do, so you get the narrow straight shot LEDs which only make light shoot into the nonreflective surface in the taillight housing... if you scuff up the bulbs on the outtermost part of teh bulbs you have mrdecibel, you "might" get a little more noticeable light as your brake lights because it will force teh light to come bounce off the scrapes you made and reflect it out the sides... but i dont think it will make a ton of difference
LEDS seem to work good for any 194 application though, since those lights never put out a ton of light anyways

there is a company in the US who make very powerful LED's way better than the normal stuff. It has 1 row of side firing LED and then 19 or so rear firing LED's which all together produce a ton more light which is the problem with LED's to begin with.
LEDtronics, expensive but the best IMO.
