Nice job Patrick, we did the same thing for the main hoop for 9sec9's car, it's the only way to go . You are doing the right thing by running the bar, I hope it never gets used. I have a bar built and waiting just in case I decide to go after someones record . , Jim

I totally agree especially w/ how strict the few tracks are that we have access to.
I've come to realize that finding the right niche to race in is what i want w/ this car while keeping it for street/strip duty.
I really don't care to make more power or put a full cage in it so.......
If things work out today i may change the power making side of things as well to keep the car where i'd like it (ie smaller turbo) since the car will be down for another week or so and we need to re-tune it may be the best time to do so!

That's why we picked 11.50 as our goal for this year and are sticking to it. I can drive it every day on a street tune and flash it and go to the track anytime I want. I'd say 34 passes in two months ia a pretty good number when compared to quicker cars that have made half as many this year. Sorry to run off topic, but I wanted to let you know you made the right choice.

Painting it was pretty straight forward and most of the pieces were painted out-side the car.
I needed to paint the sections that were masked off for welding and we goofed by not painting the harness bar before welding it in oops lol
The main thing was masking off the entire headliner and remaining exposed interior/exterior pieces......it also helped to have some fans for ventilation and to keep the excess from settling on my poor evo.
If i were to do it all over again and had more time i may have had the bars powdercoated instead of painted.
