Finally got my EVO; Project Log

Okay, after drooling over Evo's for a few years now, I finally got mine!

It's a 2003 Evolution 8 GSR with 78k on the body, 13k on the motor which was rebuilt by AMS (stock rebuild), Evo 9 trans, 3" turbo back, stance coilovers, Rota P45R's 18x9.5.

It's a non salvage vehicle, needs two passenger side doors, fender, headlight, fmic, and side skirt.

Sorry for the bad quality pictures, my only camera is with my phone at the moment.

This is how I had to drive it home..

Here's a picture of it shortly after its accident. A trailer backed into it. The pillars and door frame are perfect

Wow that's gonna be cheap to fix. You can probably find doors/fender in the same color.

Damn that is a good deal, assuming that is all the damage. What are your plans seeing that it needs some parts? Are you going to try to get it to a stock spec, go for broke, or somewhere in between? G/L man, and great find.

Thanks guys!!

Yes the only damage is what is visible and what I listed up in my first post.

There are a few guys in my area that are parting out EVO's. I am going to be buying it all used , then having the parts painted silver. Oh and yes I will be buying all stock parts (assuming you mean factory/OEM)

Right now my plans are too keep it somewhat stock, and looking nice. Then once work picks up, I have a nice idea of what I plan on doing to it including the STM front facing manifold, 35R, and all the supporting obviously.

And alright, I will post up all my updates here and make this my project log thread.

Yes it was definitely a steal . I will never be able to thank my friend enough for hooking me up with such a good deal so I could finally have the car I have been day dreaming about for years! It's also extremely nice to leave the DSM world (somewhat that is, I had a built 95 talon prior to the Evo).

She will for sure be a beaut once I bolt up the rest of its body!

Oh and the last thing I need to do is powder coat the remaining wheels black with red lip. If you look in the pictures, the rear wheels are bronze haha.
