CF hoods quality

so im looking to buy a cf hood, and was wondering if i could get feedback from people that have one, like quality, fitment, time it takes clear coat to fade, etc. and how hard is it to put the window sprayers on one? thanks for the input

I've also learned that sealant is good to apply to the cf clearcoat. I've been applying it regularly to the spoiler, no fading yet...

Honestly, I have seem too many cracked, faded seibon..so I don't know about that. The JDM hoods are expensive but the quality are better.

Careful with the knock-offs Seibon and VIS. Some fit some don't. Here's link to one of my HKS Kansai CF hood posts -

clear coat on seibon hoods and etc will last depending on how you care for it...i have had seibon carbon fenders, a trunk, and hood for 3 years and i have not had any clear coat problems..i wax at least once a month and is garage kept when not driven...like i said depends on how you care for it...of course clear coat on seibon products will come off when left in the sun all the time

+1 on seibons.
A buddy of mine has been rocking a seibon hood for a little over 2 years now, and it still looks brand new. Fitment is great too, very easy install!

not going to lie i had to do some major modding and make a custom bracket out of carbon fiber to get my viz cf trunk to fit on my evo but i did it and its been perfect ever since and clear coat is perfect and looks great and i bought it used so had prior use. Even the apr cf is perfect I got a seibon hood on my Z and it is perfect. lol in fact whole top half of Z is carbon fiber. So far no issues at the present moment with either and im about to buy a seibon cw2 for the evo
