Have mine order, they should arrive before this weekend. I'm upgrading HID's (D2S), fogs, and high beams. I'll post 'how-to' and comparison pics.
Our OEM HID bulbs are 4100 Kelvin rated bulbs. This gives off a white yet yellowish color. After the bulbs warm up, sometimes you'll notice the bulb look yellow. 5000K bulbs are white/blue while 6000k are white/purple.

I doubt the grounding kit will have any effect on HID lighting, perhaps halogen, but not HID. You have a ballast controlling 35W and no more no less so it will remain constant.
Halogen might be prone to more +/- of input so it could imporve that type of lighting. Of course, this would in turn be more yellow light because adding wattage does that.
