Anyone come up with an answer to what the vent on the passenger side (usdm) of the gialla hood is for? or what purpose it serves? being on the opposite side from the air intake. what is it used for. and can the hood be made with out it?

one guess was to cool the header/turbo...

 

JDM Evo, US spec Evo...doesn't matter, the intake is on the same side... Gialla designed that inlet to be there to draw more air across the manifold and turbo. We've discussed this in other forums on this board. So....to confirm it, we asked Gialla.
