Stopped in at Elite Automotive this morning to put the evo on their new safe-t-stop machine (www.safe-t-stop.com.au) to find out exactly how much it weighed at all four corners. It also tells you your braking bias front to back and left to right, tests your shocks and wheel allignment and does a print out with cool diagrams showing the results.
Total weight with 1/4 tank of fuel and street rims on was 1451Kg. Front left corner was 458Kg, front right was 437Kg, rear left was 273Kg and rear right was 283Kg.
I was happy with that considering the cage weighs 50Kg on its own. Would love to get it under 1400 one day - without losing the air con but will have to wait and see.

Well the cage is finally all painted up but I won't get to pick it up until tomorrow so I thought I'd better do a quick update with the parts that have arrived in the last week or so.
First up, I ordered a Wroks Bell short boss kit, Works Bell GTC quick release and a Personal Fitti Corsa steering wheel from Adam @ The Tuners Group (www.tunersgroup.com) - I have to give a massive wrap to Adam for his outstanding service. He kept me over informed every little step of the way as the order was processed. Due to the massive range of Works Bell stuff they don't keep stock in Oz but they do cheap shipping in 3 days from Japan which is sweet as if you ask me.
Unfortunately Works Bell were out of stock of the quick release at the time but it should be here Monday. The boss kit arrived 1st...
The kit includes everything to make the horn work and to stop the airbag warning light showing on the dash.
Next to arrive was the wheel. Personal is an Italian brand, I'd not heard of it before but it looks to be top notch...
I thought this little imbossed logo was a nice touch
I also ordered a new shorty antenna from John @ Rota Aus/Cartel online as someone had nicked mine and thought I may as well finish off the exterior with a set of the rear bumper carbon additions they sell. Again, very happy with the quality.

Finally got to pick the car up today! Has only been a couple of weeks but it felt a lot longer. I'm glad I waited the extra half day as they had given the car a bloody good wash and she looked as good as new. I didn't get any pics of the new paint on the front bar yet as I was too busy looking at the interior...
Ralph @ Summit Collision repairs in Rocklea did all the painting and he really wanted to make sure the paint on the cage was as glossy and awesome as on the floor so he took the cage out (not easy at all considering he had to worry about not scratching the paint that was already there) painted it and put it back it. Turns out it took 5 hours just to put the cage back in the car! there is not a scratch on the cage anywhere though so was worth the patience. No idea how he slipped all the brackets on without ruining it.
I'll let the pics do the talking...
I can pretty much use the roof as a mirror now...
Despite the fact he had never even heard of flocking before, the dash turned out pretty damn sweet. You can even make out the outline of the passenger airbag and read the SRS logo still. was too hard to get a pic of though with my lack of camera skills.

Fitted the Rexpeed rear bar additions today. It's very easy to do, just got some 3M double sided tape, stuck it in the correct spot and screwed it to the rear bar using the 4 hole pre-drilled in the part. Looks hot
Before...
Ready to stick in place...

Well that's it all up to date so far apart from a couple things I picked up today...
Tow hooks, Battery switch and bonnet pull kit and some roll cage padding (I really wish I didn't have to put this stuff in and hide the paint  )
From here I plan on getting some cams and upgrading the brake rotors. then maybe the intercooler, injectors, e85 etc etc - it never ends
