Thanks everyone!
@ jdm93cx yeah I still have my std lip.
It's a little over an inch closer to me now which I like. you have to stretch your fingers from the wheel a little to reach the indicator but I got the hang of it pretty quick.

I had quite a productive night tonight, not really in terms of the number of things done but I knew the job was gonna be very fiddly and painful...
I installed all the defi's on the roll cage which included re-routing some of the wiring for the - wait for it - 4th time! It is hard enough stuffing around behind the dash without a cage in the car let alone now. I figured I would remove the drivers seat altogether so that I could lie on the floor now thoat I couldn't reach in through the door due to the side intrusion bar.
This ended up being a drama in itself thanks to the cage again. Had to settle for this which meant I could only sqaut down on the floor to look under the dash, hence the painful...
Then I had cut all the little zipties I had painstakingly put in place the last time I ran the wires to get enough slack on the main Defi wire. Thankfully by then I was still only on my second can of Bundy (mmm Bundy) so I didn't cut anything I wasn't meant to.
Next I had to run that wire up the cage leg to the 1st gauge. I wanted it to out of sight if possible so I ran it down behind the footrest and underneath the floor plate. Buggered around with that for 10 mins till I realised I could just unscrew the floor plate instead of trying to feed it through to the correct spot.
From there it was simply a matter of getting the gauges in the right spot on the cage so that I could see them well and they wouldn't interfear with turning the wheel or my vision too much. Oh, and it turns out no-one makes a 60mm roll cage gauge holder (autometer do a sweet one but only for 52 and 66mm gauges) so I had to buy 3 E-Boost 2 Gauge holders for $100 each :wallbash: and they come with 2 metal clamps which was just never going to happen. besides, zipties are way cooler - and lighter...
Here's how it turned out...

Finally got around taking some pics of the latest mods...
1st up is the helmet net I got from Revolution Racegear last week. It sure does come in handy for carting around all the ods n ends I would have otherwise put in the glove box or in the boot.
Next to arrive were the Rexpeed carbon window vents c/o John @ Rota Aus
As you can see my dog's follow me everywhere
And finally the most exciting thing I've bought in a while - the GPX Pro lap timer/shift light. Is there anything this thing can't do
Can't wait to use it @ the track on Tuesday
