need help

hi all....i auto x my evo and at the last meet i had a great run and cleaned up 4 cones ...however one of them decided to take a **** on my yellow evo leaving me a with a black scruff mark on my side skirts...i tried waxing it off...did not work also tried scratch remover also did not work...what do u guys reccomend.
will rubbing compound work and will it damage my clear coat.
please help....please help....

laquer thinner, but do it lightly....I just used some the other day for scuff marks.

claybar works great! I used mothers to get rid of those types of stains. Just make sure you use a good lube and go over it a couple of times.

will rubbing compound damage my clear coat finish?

yes. rumor is that we have no clearcoat but it will take some paint off and dull the finish so bad that polish or wax can't restore it. i use meguiars paint cleaner to take off road grime/tar. its good and safe. but its so safe that it may not remove a bad mark. if it doesn't you could try some polishing compound but its still pretty abrasive so be very light. rubbing compound would only be a last resort. meguiars paint cleaner is the way to go.
