BAYSONR JDM rear bumper is a no go

Hello all,

I have work in a few so i'm going to make this brief as I have to go to soon but will update and elaborate more when I get the chance.

Long story short, I needed a JDM rear and wanted OEM but since the car is getting repainted a non-oem color I thought i'd save and get a poly bumper from BaysonR since the others were fiberglass.

Got a big ol' box yesterday and thought "WOW what great packaging!". Opened it and there was nothing but a postal box that stated "hardware" and the bumper itself. No foam, bubble wrap, or anything.

So of course the bumper has scratches and lumps up the yin yang. It's also VERY twisty. I pulled it out of the box with my brother and it would not hold. This is not reassuring at all SINCE I cannot use my rear reinforcement.

My body shop guy just shook his head and told me it's going to be extra. There are fine course scratches all over the bumper with a powdery substance. Oh and the tow hook cover looks and fits like absolute garbage out of the box.

After my guys finish reinforcing the bumper so it'll hold it's shape we'll have to see what fitment is going to be like.

On the bright side, at least his generator looks good (for the money anyway).

lets post some pics so we all can see. I got a oem one and did not sell my first born. if you look around jdm rears can be had for 325-799 shipped just have to take the time to look and be patient granted you might have to repaint it but its worth it.

they are great, it depends how one drills the hole and rivet the oem bracket brace is the trick.

yeah OP please point it out and I'll take pics for you from my bumper. I mean I'm not doubting you, you might have got a bad one perhaps? But mine was great.

Ill be going with the bayson rear soon. I know a guy that had one on and it fit excellent. Maybe you just got a bad one out of the bunch?

I will take my chances instead of paying the $800 for one.
