why not? why put graphics on a car? why put 19" wheels on a car, why put 5 tv's in your car...becuase it is different, and you cant get any different than this. and when its done...and in the sunlight,...
the paint is 450 a pint and you need 5 pints. the total was about 8k

Wow, $8k for that paint. Thats a lot. But sure is worth it. I like your idea. That is the kind of paint I want too, its called the Chameleon paint. Changes the color in any angle. I wouldn't put it in my Evo but I would like to put it on my MX-3. Can't wait till they finish. Post some pics after its done, man. Good job on your mods.

chamealeon is PPG's version
chromalusion is House of Kolor's version
Multi-tone is Sherwin Williams version.
all three have their destinct features, the PPG doesnt change that many colors, darks or lights, the chroma, the same thing. the multi-tone is by far the most expensive, but it is the most translucent.
and i chose to spend 8k on paint, ive already got just about every mod in the engine I NEED, and a full DVD based stereo system, exterior was the next logical choice. next will come the interior.

looks pretty sweet. Sometimes, not trying to diss on anyone, I think people get too wrapped up in the "it is a race car" thing and forget that people also like to look good while going fast. No one has any problems dropping 1-3k just for some sweet looking rims granted they might be 1-5 lbs lighter but in the end, unless you are track racing day in and day out, that won't really help you either. I think the paint looks sweet. When I used to own a ranger I took all the door panel pieces off and sprayed them down with that paint. It really looks good in the sunlight and I think you'll have one hot ride. Later,
