I support Mitch in maintaining a collector's Evo -- I've had this idea for years and may have been a little influence on it, too

Lots of you think it's not a collectible car. That's what everyone thought about the first-gen Camaro and other pony cars. It's just a cheap, junky Chevy with a big motor; a kid's car. Once gas got expensive in the 70's, Camaros, Barracudas became worthless... only in the 90's and 2000's that they regained value. Evos WILL become cheap beaters, and after that the clean ones will skyrocket in value.
It's because young people desire them. Have you seen a high schooler drool over your Evos? Probably. They'll drool over an F430 too, sure, but if a kid works hard and pinches pennies in high school, he just might be able to afford an Evo, unlike the Ferrari. Same thing went for the old pony cars. My uncles bought muscle cars themselves as youngsters, but they were a far cry from affording that shiny XKE or Alfa GTV.

It IS pretty hard to have one car that is both a numbers-matching collector grade car AND a track ****, but if there's one guy who can do it, it's Mitch

Yeah
Friggin' you made my day man. Thanks for the support! I already have a replacement trunk, front bumper, rear bumper, and hopefully the front fenders soon. I'll be hunting for doors after that, but those truly can wait.

Volk CE-28N's, Buddy Club QF's, Custom Status Seats w.Buddy Club Rails, Personal Steering Wheel w/NRG Hub, and a multi-setup Buschur turboback (street/track) are awaiting installation on the car. Hopefully will be able to get the power stuff swapped off as well, just a matter of how soon my debtee's pay me back .

My question is.......

Are you gonna cover the ENTIRE car before track events? Gonna be hard to keep her spristine at the track. Unless you buy replacement doors, etc.

Little update: here's my "custom" exhaust set up. Buschur 3" V-Band, and one is a "street" set up while the other is "race". You do the math and figure out what's what .

I love my RS but its not an investment...besides theres many more in japan if someone really wanted to collect. That being said I'm too greedy to sell mine. Just don't wreck it at the track or you'll have a time capsule full of junk. RS FTW!
