trust me its an ssl lol...I guess the quality is the reason to blame for not seeing the sunroof (camera phone pic)
also I replaced the drivers side headlight with an 03 headlight non-hid for the mean time because it was all i can find at the time of me repairing the car. If you look at the pass. side you will see the headlight is factory hid with fog light

had a friend who bought an "SSL" evo, but I knew something was up when I sat inside it...the leather felt pretty thin and cheap. Then I see weird buttons for the sunroof....and then a reflector where the fog lamps are supposed to be. Aftermarket leather and aftermarket sunroof. I thought you might have had the same thing happen

So you just called around various shops to find a downed Evo? Money for an VIII is not really an issue for me, but if I could get one downed, and work+save a little cash it would be cool. I've been considering one like this but I'm weary of copart, IAAI and other various salvaged car auctions.

thanks for all the postive feedback. I was eyeing copart for a while but alot of those cars are hit or miss and didnt want to get myself into something fishy so i decided to look around local and test the car out and see the car in front of me. I lucked out, i paid $6000 for the car with 30K miles
