To be honest, after I'm done polishing it and clearing it, it will only be put on for shows and of the sort. I rather have a clean daily. I still have the yellow hood in my garage.
I left the underside black, but I'll most likely be stripping that too so it will reflect a mirror of the engine bay for car shows.
the stuff I have to go over has some areas that have a brushed look, I need to wetsand different grits so it comes out mirror like.

^^ kinda wrecked my plan.
If you wanna go VW on all our asses.. wash it with strong salt water and leave it outside for the rain to eat. I hear Tiger rust is the new fad nowadays. (honestly think it has potential if you wear a flame suit... )
jus' sayin'

ahhhhhhhhh you found the car i was looking all over google for! are you kidding, nothin says class like a rusted out performance car! may look alright with 2 outer edges from the hood lines out painted LY.. just to tie it in.
Another cool idea i JUST thought of while typing is to get a polished rear view mirror if you like it. Super subtle but i think it wouldn't look like such an outcast with a little more silver.
I say keep it. Find a spare trunk and polish it too.
