I think its cool since we know the hood is aluminum. But to most other people, it just looks like you either haven't painted the hood, or you took a silver hood and threw it on the car.
If you are using it for "show", its better, but I'm not really feeling it on yellow.
Props for a cool idea though

damn, that is pretty cool! Regardless of what others think, that is unique and I bet it stands out at the car shows. And obviously that doesn't look like an AS hood as one person mentioned. 
Personally I'd rock it, but I'd keep the brushed look instead. Thanks for sharing the pics and work you did!
