Well last night I was only able to get all the accessories assembled before me and my buddies got tired. It's basically ready to drop in now. Just kind of worried about the timing belt situation though. I've never timed a motor before and was basically just going off one of my friends directions. I was able to get all of the timing marks to line up and they stay lined up after 6 full rotations. I did this a few times just to double check. The only problem I'm having is the timing belt seems a little loose to me.. I mean maybe I'm just being paranoid because before we pulled the old one off it had a little bit of give to it as well. I have a video I'll probably go ahead and upload here for you guys so you can see if it looks overly loose to you. I just don't want to put the motor in until I have my friend that built my car the last time, come out and look at it.
Here's a couple pictures from last night.
Getting the head studs lubed so they can be torqued down.
Everthing assembled and ready to go.
Here's a video of my timing belt.. ****ty cell phone camera but you should be able to tell what's going on.

Might be a week or so before I can drop the motor in just because I really want my friend to come out and take a look at everything before I do. I'm so nervous about this because I really don't have the money to re-do a project like this, so it needs to be right the first time. lol. Very nerve wrecking, but fun at the same time. I'll be ecstatic once this thing starts up. Even more so when we're done tuning!

Timing belt looks pretty loose. Too loose. I'd line everything up again, make sure all the slack is on the left side (I think). That way, when you tension it up, it pulls all the slack out of that side. Just make sure it doesn't pull you off TDC when it tensions up.
I might be able to take a pic of my finger pressing on the belt between the gears on my car, but I'd imagine there's only a lttle play (less than an inch or so I'd guess).
Your belt is too loose though.

Your timing belt is def. way too loose so be sure to tighten it up or their is a good chance that your timing belt will jump!

wow this story reminds me of what i went thru with my old wrx until i finally "manned" up and fix it myself. I went thru 2 bad rebuilds before finally saying f it & did all my home i could on everything was lucky enough to find pdf files of the factory manual for the engine so it was pretty straight forward. I'll agree with everyone thats posted about your timing belt it does look very loose. When it came to timing my wrx (anyone that has done one knows those cars are a pita) I literally had to redo it 3 times before finally getting it right. So be sure to triple check everything is lined up and tight. if it's not dont chance it and try to find out why its not tight.
