New Powder Coated Valve Cover!!!
#1
* Updated Pics * Powder Coated Valve Cover, Opinions?
Hey Guys,
Just got my valve cover back from being powder coated. It is a candy powdercoat. You can't really tell from the pics ( lack of sun light ). I was looking for something different and came up with this. I'm trying to change the color theme of the car. Just ordered a HKS Reloaded purple filter to help in the engine bay also..... My roll cage is also that mystic dark purple/dark blue flip. What else you guys recommend doing in this color?

I'd say polished piping and black hose connections like you have is spot on. I love the purple color but gold would look off. Red no way. Blue maybe but I think it would take away from the purple. I would stick to HKS purple and then go with polished and black. Nice and clean. You only need one accent color and purple is already unique enough you don't want to F it up with some other color. Anodized green might look nice if you did like a Tien strut bar and oil cap or something. Ti would look nice too like the ARC stuff. Green works as long as you keep it in very small amounts in various places in the bay.
Just my 2 cents. Your on your way.

I agree with above. I did my entire engine in red and CF (black) except for the exhaust manifold I got ceramcoated (chrome looking) and the Intake manifold (Magnus V5) has been polished. I think it looks good. The UICP is powder coated red also, as is the funnel on my turbo.

HKS cam gears and timing belt with a Zaklee clear timing cover or no cover at all. I think too many go overboard powdercoating and polishing their engine bay, keep it to a couple items.

I plan on doing the same thing. I already have a Zaklee IX cam cover installed. I just need to drive 10.5k more miles until my 60k service. That way I can also put on the HKS timing belt and HKS cam gear. Everything will look so nice with my purple STM fuel rail and dark purple valve cover.
