never, the curing of the powder is around 350-390F. when your at the track next check you rim temp and you will suprised to see it comes very close to this, we used to use powder coating on our race cars but the powder would become tacky when the car was pitted for fuel/tyres.
yes it lasts longer and more resistant to chipping but it dosnt stand up to heat aswell as a 2 pack style of paint
