Curious to know if you would know how much it pushes into the guard liners?
Do you think a little bit of a massage & a heat gun on the liner would get you the clearance needed?

Honestly, the tiny amount of rub is trivial to me. I've been driving like this for 2 years with no problems.

Has it rubbed through the liners in that time?

Nope, I rarely turn the steering wheel all the way. The only time I notice is if I'm in a ridiculous narrow driveway requiring a 5 point turn. I wouldn't worry.

agree with id33. it really is minimal and to me its only the drivers side front wheel liner at full steering wheel lock to the right with a mild rub.

Will a GSR evo X rim with 255/40R18 fit on a non-lowered, stock suspension car evo 9?

@J_Striker Absolutely no problem. The 40 series makes this a very tall set-up but you should have no issues w/fit

Awesome! A friend game me some 255/40r18 tires for free. I'll mount them up and report back.

Fit the tires up today. 255/40R18. Evo 10 GSR rims on Evo 9 MR stock suspension. It's close, but it fits! I'm at about 1.5 degrees of camber. Not sure how much camber it could take.

Thats a good pic showing the fit-up.

Great, showing that a +38 offset & a 40 series tire just fits

But, as you noted, if someone wanted to road course this set-up, front camber maybe limited?
