Angry Replacing Stock stereo help

I'm replacing my stock radio. I'm trying to take the stock brackets off and put it on the new receiver, but............... I can't get the screws off!!!!!!! This thing ain't no joke. I've already broken two screw bits, and stripped all four screws. What's the deal here? Did any of you guys who changed your stereos have this problem?

MAN!!!!!! I called the dealer to get a new one and they said "$7.00 for each bracket and $1.00 for each screw." You believe that crap? After that, I got so pissed I grabbed a vise grip and ripped them suckas off. Spent $0.79 at Home Depot for new screws. thanx for the help fellas. I'll post pix when I'm done.
