evolento, how did you get the red perfectly red. Did you bleach before or did the red dye you use bite right through the blue? Interesting..
would be cool for a "show car" or really clean dude to leave the centers bleached white on black... DD'ing the car maybe not--- lol

When I painted mine red, I first masked everything off. Then I gave the seat a quick wipe down with a damp cloth to pick up any leftover dirt.
Once it's dry, lay down two full coats of burgundy. The seat will come out looking purple about now. Then lay down two coats of red on top. I waited 20 minutes between coats, in the sunlight.
As for the lettering, I used a paintbrush and a steady hand. Not perfect but it looks decent. Now after a few months it is just a little faded, but only on the sections which I didn't clean very well.
