Now maybe I am off here but from what I have heard from professional installers the 3M is not intended to ever be removed. In fact some of them have stories of the 3 m removing paint when removed. isn't this the opposite of what you would want?

This thread is really old. There is a new one (2010) floating around here somewhere.
