Koo I was going to take a class which was 2 moths on 3D S Max. I use autocad 2009 at the moment and then Show case to finish the work.

this is wickid. How much have you hacked around designing your own car, something that if a large manufacturer (mits.) said let me see what you've got... what would you show them. I know you have something so post up some other cars and stuff.

Jesse: These are the additions, this is the basic layout of the car, and this is what it could look like when it's done. Red, green, whatever
Brian: Hey man, you should be goin to MIT or something
Jesse: No man, I got that attention disorder
Brian: Oh, ADD?
Jesse: Yes, that ****

there will be the right evo out there in the streets for you. not a factory lightning yellow ix though because they never made it into US soil. yelllow only came in viii's but that doesnt stop one from coversion from viii to ix + jdm rear.

Well it's quite a long and tedious process, sometimes I get a bit tired, but not for long, as after every adjustment, I sit back a bit and look at the whole car and go "Damn, that was worth it!". That feeling is what always keeps ya going .
And if Mitsu asked me smth like that, I'd be in luck, since not too long ago I started my very own concept, a 2011 Eclipse, with obvious cues taken from the Evo X and the older GSX; hope you dig it:

Actually I'm not from the states. Sometimes I wish I were, but I come from Moldova (think poor eastern European country and you've pretty much got the picture). Right now I'm in France, since it's the only place in Europe where it's still affordable to study. I actually saw more Evos back home than here, these guys only know about Clios and Twingos . Oh, and cheese.

Also, as per one of you gentlemen's request, here's some clay renders of the Evo:

Sorry to all the people I didn't manage to quote, cause my post is oversized already haha. Thank you all for the feedback, I really appreciate it .

nice job. I started an evo a while back in 3ds, but never finished. Good clean modelling. You materials looks pretty good. That was always the thing that I had alot of trouble with.

It's always great to see someone else have a go at modelling. From what little experience I have, I strongly suggest to look for tutorials if there's something you're not sure about, there are some great ones out there, just google for a bit and you'll find one that suits you. I for one followed an awesome video tutorial of a dude making an Audi A3 from scratch, it did wonders for me when I was just starting out .

not to hijack, but here's a link to some of my renders.

One day I'll finish the exterior and go inside with it. I think my biggest problem is that I spend all day doing cad at work and coming home to it isnt always that great.
