A different kind of photoshoot (huge pics!)**Update on page 3**

Hello EvolutionM forum.

I've been a member for quite some time, but never posted because, well, I never had anything to post haha. I'm 19, I own a 1981 Benz, which is an awesome car, but my absolute dream-car is the Evo IX. I don't have the money yet to buy one, and I'm not sure if they'll still be around when I will.

So for now, I decided to combine one of my hobbies with my passion for the Evo, and after plenty hours of working on it, I'm getting close to the end of modelling a 3D version of a Lancer Evo IX GSR. Well, the exterior anyway. Hopefully I'll finish the interior soon too.
So, I hope you enjoy this slightly different photoshoot, and please tell me what you think, I could use the feedback. Also, if you'd like to see it with a different paintjob(easy to do) or with different rims or whatever(would take longer), I could probably make it happen, although I dont know when cuz I'm pretty busy now with my studies.

And smth a bit more special, a slightly customized Wicked White:

I also thought I'd put up a "wired" image of the car, to give an idea about how this 3D stuff works if you're not familiar with it . The density of the polygons is doubled in all of these shots, so that the model is smoother; when I work on it, there's about half as many polygons.

Please keep in mind that I'm pretty much a beginner at this, I've done a couple of other models but I've still a lot to learn. That's pretty much why the rear lights look so sh*tty.

Last but not least, I gotta add that this is a fantastic forum, keep it up guys, and don't stop posting pics of these awesome machines.

Sorry in advance if I posted this in the wrong place.

EDIT: Clay renders on page 2

That was really well said. I was thinking the same thing. Are you going to school for this kind of thing?

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm really glad you like it.
Well I've been drawing cars since I was like 4 years old, and about an year ago I got into this 3D stuff as a hobby, I'm really into it but it takes up all my free time and sometimes even more haha.
But this year I decided to try and make something of it, as I'm hoping to get into a design school next year. I'm actually supposed to get an answer in a few days, fingers crossed!

edit: I'm using 3D Studio Max, and Vray for rendering .

i figured it was either vray or maxwell. anyway, i dont think you will have too much trouble getting into design school if all the stuff in your portfolio looks like that.
