Thats the unacceptable stretch that almost everyone hates, including myself. All the evos posted so far, easily acceptable in my opinion.

 

Stretching tires completely defeats the purpose of getting wide rims... why would you run a 235 on an 9"rim when a 235 fits on an 8"... maybe im looking at this from a functionality standpoint and not an aesthetic one but... IMO stretching is a waste...

MODS, can I request a super-thread-merge between this and the honda forum thread "running on spinner hubcaps"??? I know you guys don't often do cross-forum thread mergers, but I think this could be the greatest cross-over since the Flintstones meet the Jetsons...

Back on topic....Stretched tires are awesome to look at. I love the look.

you 100% right.... it does defeat the purpose... but everyone has a different purpose for their evo... im pretty sure we know what were doing when we stretch our tires... not all of us track the crap out of our cars and on top of that its not your car so i dont get why you guys care... some of us like stretched tires, driving super low cars, and having flush wheels... we don't come into your threads making fun of cars that don't look like ours... we just appreciate cars a different way then you do...

and just because we all drive evos doesn't mean we all need to have a super functional car... just keep doing what you love and what makes you happy and let us worry about our stretched tires.

lets keep this going with some more stretched tires... and in no way did i mean to make anyone mad, angry, or start some stupid e-thung forum war... i just want to end all this anti stretch bs...
