Im curious to the posts in this thread as well. That black one with the white wheels that's everywhere is a beauty! I love that setup!

Dude if you're looking to track your Evo your puny *** tires ain't gonna hold you much on corners..therefore you're really not gonna be going any faster.. For a track setup the smallest i'd go is 255.

And just to chime in with the thread...A buddy of mine is running Works XD9's 18x10 +13 front and +18 back w/ 225/40-18 tires...looks hell clean. Look him up he's on here: Tarmac9

IMO running stretched out tires is purely for show purposes only because it doesn't really help our cars in the Performance aspect.

This concept has always puzzled me. Never mind the obvious drawback in the performance department. It looks like a someone went baller rim and couldn't afford the tire to complete the look.

I quoted fast and furious I was not being serious. I think stretched tires on any car looks awful. Like someone else said it looks like people blew their load on the wheels and couldn't afford the right tires

^^^ That looks like ****.....A small stretch can be pulled off,Like the Apex silver car that was posted..That looks clean,But as far as traction go's,215's are way to narrow imo..

I don't understand how racing on stretched tire became incorporated into this thread. The OP just wants to see the stance and looks of evos running stretched tires. Not everyone who owns an evo races...in fact most on here daily drive their cars. Let's keep this thread rolling with pictures guys.

From a tire construction standpoint - its a terrible thing.
I wont be doing any serious racing to be able to beat the tire to such a point. It will be a slow-driven DD/weekend warrior.

Im going to pick up another set w/ 275s for track and will be picking up some other lightweight wheels with slicks aswell for when i decide to be fast in a straight line.

Thanks man. Those are 17x9.5 +15 MB Battles wrapped in a 215/45 ss595

These rims are normally on my 240sx and were just put on for photo purposes.

enkei rpfs 18x9.5+15 with 235/40 hankook v12 evos... dropped on kw clubsport coils and rolled in the rear, camber should be around 2 degrees... hate all you want, i had 275/35s with my previous wheels and never used it to its fullest... 90% of you running fat *** tires wont... the cyber evo only runs 265s... i also dont track my car, i daily it, and dont care if you guys think stretched tires are silly and nonfunctional... oh and shes going lower next week... and for those wondering why i have kw clubsports on a dailys its because the car came with them.

kthanks bye. lets keep this thread alive...

edit: here is another crappy picture i took the other day... ill have a proper shoot done after she goes lower.

I have rpf1's in 17x9.x5 with 255/40/17 proxy t1r's and I have always hated the stretech look, but it honestly doesn't look that bad. But my wheels are not stretched as most. I'll see if I can find pics
