Shawna, what camera would you recommend for a first time DSLR buyer?
To be honest... I barely know how to use this thing!! There is so much I need to learn still!

I would recommend any old point and shoot first. A fancy camera DOES do a lot of the work, but if you can't figure out composition in a point and shoot... the Nikon wont do much better. For the first week I had this camera, I couldn't find the focus ring

I took a lot of film classes and we used mega expensive cameras so I had a decent understanding... and took old-school-develop-your-own-film classes in college.

Develop your skills with an average camera that will fit in your pocket... that way it is really easy to follow your eye. If it's in your pocket, you'll take a picture. I'm not interested in carrying a $1000 nikon in my backseat everywhere I go! ...and I miss out of a lot of beautiful shots that way.

But once you do get a baller camera... NOTHING else will do!!

Absolutely Meggs... That was one of my first requests... somehow 9's became more important than looks!

It's going to be a long winter and I can assure you STM will not disappoint!

2,000 miles on the new BR 2.0LR motor.

I drive a lot.

I should have these latest pictures all sized and uploaded with high-res links tomorrow. I wasn't anywhere near my computer all weekend.
