I got into a minor accident over the winter...where i actually slid out on the geothels bridge doing about 45mph spun and hit the center median. I was the only person involved in the accident and i have gieco too. I reported the accident the next day and they had someone over to look at it within a few days. The guy came over wrote down everything that was wrecked and said he would give me a quote the next day.
It was front end damage but not as bad as yours...i had to replace the bumper, ds headlight, ds fender, radiator, licp, wheel well, crash bar and a few other bits and pieces.
I got the quote the next day and a check in the mail a few days later. I didnt even have a police report to give geico and they never asked for one. It was my first insurance claim ever and it was as smooth as butter. Im sorry you had such a hard time with them.
The worst part was piecing it all back together...i had to have the crash bar mounting points and the radiator support pulled out at a body shop and i basically did everything else myself it was a ***** and i feel like in the long run i should have just had them repair it bc a few things still dont line up. But i got a nice used bumper with an SE lip that i wanted for a while so there were a few benefits from fixing it myself.
good luck with your rebuild!
