I wanted to share my install & impressions of the DDM HID kit.

My neighbor and fellow Evo owner told me about the kit and helped with install ideas so thank you, AJ!

First off you can find more info at ddmtuning.com. I purchased the 55 watt, 9006 bulb type, 5000K bulb color, kit. No HID harness or Error Eliminator kit was needed on a 2006 Evo 9.

Impressions:

1. The kit is ***in cheap...I dont see how they can make a profit and offer lifetime warranties.
2. The kit is very light...
3. The kit is very easy to install...
4. The 55w setup is incredibly bright...
5. The 5000k bulb is very "White" with a very slight hint of blue after fully warmed up...
6. I can now see at night...
7. The ballast are digital but do make a high freq humming noise that can be heard if the car is NOT RUNNING and you are standing outside near the headlights...no radio or cell phone interference problems at this point.

AJ suggested to mount the ballast where the factory HID ballast are mounted using a small strip of aluminum and utilizing existing holes for inserting screws. It turned out to be a great idea and rock solid.








Money well spent IMO...questions/comments welcome!
