Momo steering wheel issue....chime in please.
Well about a month ago I noticed the top of my factory momo steering wheel was starting to peel. Theres a mesh portion of leather at the top which is just glued on. Anyhow I peeled it completely off and was thinking about finding material and cutting it and re-upholstering/glue it back on myself. Im afraid it will look like crap if I use leather fabric so I was considering that cf 3m di-noc material. That too might not hold up but it may work. Ive also emailed derek@rexpeed to see if they would make me some type of carbon top or cap thatll fit and I can just use adhesive and stick it on like the dash pieces. Otherwise Ill just wait for an IX steering wheel to hit the marketplace. I thought the cf top might be unique. Here are pics of the piece in question. No one else seems to have had experienced this.
What do you guys think?

bring it to the dealership. i got mine warrantied. the only thing is, mine wasn't completely off yet. they took pics, sent it to corperate, then they approved the new wheel with airbag. all free. if not, detachable wheel for you my friend lol.

I wouldnt waste the gas....Second owner bumper to bumper/drivetrain is only good up to 60k miles. If I didnt already know the answer Id call anyway before I drove there. If derek@rexpeed cant make me a direct fit cover top Im going to try the 3m di-noc. Its the edges or grooves Im worried about peeling after a month. If anyone is selling an IX black wheel let me know.
