Well guys, i finally did it. Painted my RR Evo Satin black/copper pearl. The paint was done by Elite Custom Body in Jacksonville, FL.

I think the pics speak for themselves, even though they don't do the actual car justice. This thing must be seen in person to get the full effect.

Paint specs:

• Black base-coat with slight copper pearl added
• Light copper pearl mid-coat
• Satin/Matte Clear-coat
• Matrix paints.
• Rear carbon fiber wing re-sprayed in satin clear-coat.

The end effect is a completely Satin black color unless in direct sunlight. Then, a reddish/copper pearl pops out, but still very subtle. You have to be within a few feet of the car to actually see the pearl.

Here are some pics. Professional pics coming soon, after i decide on what tails i'm going to run (JDM MR, EVO VII...etc.) and i paint the headlight housings black.

Yeah, it's a great choice. I think it really brings out the car's curves. You need a car with a muscular stance to pull off matte/satin black. The Evo's got exactly what's needed.

i like the satin black/copper pearl combo... that's good you didn't go for matte black as it is too flat imo.
reminds me of this tundra that i worked on at my job

Yeah, all the side markers will be blacked out. I'm debating on the 7 tails or the JDM MR tails. The headlights will have blacked out housings. I really want to get a set of oem JDM HID headlights.

Regarding the red emblems, I'm thinking of blacking them out and putting black evolution VIII emblem back on the trunk. Not sure yet on that.
