I wanna install hood damper on my evo but I have a sibon carbonfiber hood and would like to know if it's possible to install these with it on. anyone running hood dampers with seibon or any other brand carbonfiber hood please post pics so I can see how they are installed and also please post the brand of hood dampers you using thanks.

I also have a seibon c/f hood and the Rexpeed c/f hood dampers, and it works and looks great.

 

FYI - The Seibon CF hood is NOT full Carbon Fiber. It is a Fiberglass hood, with a CF skin. You don't have to worry about the dampers on the Seibon hoods. The fiber-glass is tough enough to resist the dampers.

 

I hope your running hood pins as well.

 

Why would he need hood pins? If you read on our cars his cf hood weights more then my stock MR hood. Then in any case I should run hood pins.

 

was there any fabrication needed to make them work? What I wanna know is how you bolted them to the carbonfiber hood?
