The right side of the car.

Can't see much on the left side because I followed the contour of the floor pan so I could use the stock or any aftermarket muffler.Connects to the chassis rail same as on the right hand side.

This is the trick connection. The piece of angle iron where the bolt is,is welded to the reciever. The other flat piece of steel where the bolt head is,has a piece shaped like the factory tow hook. When you tighten up that bolt the piece is pulled into the tow hook and gives a strong solid mount location that is directly behind the hitch to take the weight.

*To the moderator who moved this.....wouldn't it be better in the how to section if general is not the right one.

That's awesome and very useful. Is that just a tow kit for a lancer, or a universal or did you make it?

Homemade out of bits of scrap metal and a reciever off of a wrecked mini-van.All free from a local scrapyard.

My trailer was also donated by the same scrapyard,it was a pop-top camper headed to the crusher before I got at it with my welder.

Well after a month and a bit of towing all kinds of crap all over the place.......

No problem

The II easily copes with hauling stuff around......lumber yard, tire shop, machine shop......even the local dump!

Its pretty funny backing up to the Sears loading dock in a 16 year old RHD EvoII........with a trailer in tow.I guess they must have been play station fans because the Evo "shut the place down" as they all came out for a look see

But the funniest thing is the look on the faces of other drivers when the "little four door Japanese car" with trailer full of stuff leaves them in their tracks at a traffic light.....I never get tired of that

This will only work if you have a JDM bumper. 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer U-haul class I hitch with no modification whatsoever. $305 OTD
