Hit a curb in any car with any rim and i'm sure there is going to be a issue, but look at how well one holds up compared to the other, as a testiment to the quality and reliability to the respective brands. The Volks are in one piece, where as ... the Rota is not. might be b/c of the level of quality there which is what you are probably paying for, but heck if you don't want a reliable rim, i mean its not like they are important, then thats your call. No big deal for street driving but i wouldn't want to use them in any type of racing or event that might put strain on the wheels.

Here is a link to a list of failures
you dont know what happened to the rota. or what caused it. so posting that picture is useless/stupid

also, for as many rota wheels you find that are broken/cracked, i can find just as many originals

lol, I never said not to use them, that they shouldn't be used or that they are not being used or the they are bad. Read what has been written. I stated an opinion that i would not use them, thats all.

Same as above never said that you shouldn't use them or they are bad, and thats is actually where i am coming from, being a racer and know what would happen if a wheel failed like that i would not invest anything in them for racing, its like if i have the ability to buy used tires or new ones.... not to say the used ones wont work i would just prefer new ones.

Dont get your undies in a bunch

End.

I'm on Swift spec R springs. My car scrapes going into my driveway now so I can't gunny lower. I actually kinda like it's stance cuz it's got a bit of a muscle car look to me although I'd like the front a bit lower. As for the Rota/Volk debate, I've never seen or heard of a failed Grid. I'm well aware that TE37s are alot lighter and definitely will affect performance but not enough for me to warrant the extra cash. If I was to compete then maybe I'd do something different but for a DD / track toy these are just fine by me.

I PMed Touge Factory on this board. They are good at communicating and were able to turn my idea into reality with alot less effort than I expected. The pricing is very reasonable but you need to talk with them cause I'm sure every application is different so I don't wanna talk money on their behalf.
