G2 Caliper Paint Review

Hey all,

I was tired of looking @ my red/pink faded calipers. So for $40 bucks, I'd give it a try. Overall I'm quite satisfied, the stuff hardens like enamel and was pretty easy to apply without removing calipers. If you want a perfect job then Powdercoating is the way to go.

Some before & afters.

ehhhh

sanding em up a bit, remove some loose clear coat.

1st coat

3dr coat, says you only need two, but I had enough left to hit em again.
$7.99 for sh.. Ebay stickers. They look like crap. I'm pealing em off.

With my newly powder coated old school SSR GT7's

Any questions LMK..

Looks backwards lol. You should have gotten some stickers where the letters are individual.

This looks great. I am going to do this. The best way to use the stickers is use the White ones like from factory. After you paint the caliper, put on the sticker then hit with clear engine block paint. It's rated to extreme temps and will protect everything.

Link to the paint you used?

I heard wet sanding and re-clearing with high-temp engine clear coat works wonders... wet sand to avoid sanding the brembo paint away...

looks good otherwise!

BTW the decals are individual letters, luckily I have a few more.
The picture posted was with the outside film still on. Stupid me.

Anyone else notice he painted his rotor and got some black paint on the contact patch?

Next time - take your time.

whats wrong with you? ;o

you're supposed to rip that clear **** off of the front of the letter and logo on your brembo sticker.... sigh... the logo and lettering is perfect. and the logo is on backwards, the bottom of the letters always face the inner of the rotor
