If I could offer you any advice, it would be; to be patient and scrutinize every little detail. I want to have the car done by the beginning of june so I can start driving it to meets and such. We're on schedule to have it in color with the next week or so.

Good stuff. Mine is currently in my garage going from flat black to a white. Biggest PITA is paiting door jams, etc.

Got the paint and supplies in today!!

This is the basecoat from PPG. Its one step down from the best stuff they make. This one gallon of paint was over $850

****ty iPhone pic, but you get the basic idea...

Hardner

Primer

Jamming foam. This is so you can paint the jams, re assemble and install the doors and spray the base over the car. This is the best way to spray so you can avoid blotchy coverage. This is especially important with pearl, metallic, glass, and other loose paint medium because light essential bounces off them almost like a prism.

So you do this all the way around the jam...

Clear coat. I love this stuff. Reduces perfect and always seems to lay very well. I can almost achieve a near glass like finish with this stuff right out of the gun.

This is the paint prep system for my sata gun. makes clean up uber easy.

Door jams are the easy part. Red pad them, and base can go right on in most cases, no primer/sealer needed.

Loving the thread so far, more updates the better.

How come you went with the European universal clear and not the Production clear or Super clear from U-Pol?
