I love the PPS system. Saves you soo much time. I spray with an iwata lph-400. The damn cup on that thing takes me 20 min to clean, before I got the pps stuff. Are you not using a sealer?

I would have went with the delta dbc basecoat and got the Global clear. I usually spray Lesonal products though.

Cant wait to see her finished!!

Yes I ordered the sealer, ceramic clear, and a few other things that seem to be on massive back order. Still waiting on them.

I've only use sata and devilbliss guns. Sata seems to be the best, but their stuff is $$$ for their good line. When I bought my new gun for waterborne applications and the gun i wanted was almost $2500 . At the end of the day it comes down to prep and atmosphere control that make the paint job.

Its cool I'm not the only one here that autobody savy. Scrutinize my stuff! I love learning from people who know more than me. Usually I'm the one doing the teaching.

I wont be doing any teaching. I know some stuff, but I have only been doing it for about 6 years now.

I jumped on the iwata's cause they are all stainless inside, so they are waterborne ready. Although I havnt had a chance to spray waterbase yet.

Next time I decide to buy a gun, I'll give the iwatas a try.

Updates. I pulled the rear fenders a bit. The +15 offset makes them stick out so damn far I thought it looked a little silly with the tire hanging out of the rear 1/4's. I will get pics if this a bit later tonight.

Alright, some worthy updates! The car is now in primer!!! Pics are a little on the ****ty side, but you can make out whats going on. Rear fenders are flared, and most of the bodywork is sealed in. There are a few places that need some attention and will have to be re-primed. Un untrained eye could never see the mistakes, but I know they're there and I wont settle for anything short of perfect.

Mixing

Taped Up

Fresh paint!

Can't wait for what it looks like. My bro is doin the same thing with my car, except I'm keeping it yellow, and only painting half (bumpers and side skirts) lol. He's already spent abt 16hours preping and priming. getting it painted tomorow!
