To really get the Zaino effect you need to clay it first. This will remove ALL surface particles from you paint. You cant just wash it in dawn, and get everything out of your paint.
- Wash car in Dawn
- Clay ENTIRE car
- Wash car again
- Apply Zaino Z5 (with ZFX accelerator) one or two times until your swirls go away
- Apply Zaino Z2 (with ZFX accelerator) as many times as you want. Each coat will make your paint look deeper and richer. Its really amazing.

I've allso been wondering which will work better for me so I thought this test would be perfect...especially with the weather we do get this tome of year.
I do keep the car in a garage and avoid the rain whenever possible, but in winter with salt, snow, melting snow and that brine crap they spray on the roads now this will be a pretty hard core test.
Again I did go right from clay bar on up to make it a fair start for both systems....and no clay bar does not remove the clear coat...just everything else. It's my understanding they srated using clay to remove overspray in paint shops. It just happens to work great on other environmental crap you get on the car. I use it with the dteail spay although I have heard some use it with a soapy spray.
I'll try to follow up with pictures in a few salty weeks but I'm not sure the pictures tell the story.
Again time will tell so stay tuned.

If you want to complete this test, you need to photograph the car in 2 months without applying another coat of either polish.
I'm certain the Zaino would still be shinier and would still bead water better.

for an excellent test! I can't wait to see the results in a few weeks/months! Perfect time of the year for the test especially with the salt we get! Please post your results going forward!
Long live Zaino! (for now at least!)

I also got the zaino kit for Christmas, but lacking the proper time to do the proper method, I'll use the Meguiars Gold until spring, and then use the Zaino. Just washed and waxed today, and I love my Tarmac Black!!!
I think the blue and red metalflakes in the black really make it different!

I'm a old user of Meguiar's who switched to Zaino. Both are very similar right after you apply them. But Zaino by far outlasts Meguiar's. It seemed like Meguair's only held up for 1 rain session, or one week of dry weather. I'm talking about the smooth airy feel when you rubbed your hand across the car. Zaino just takes a lot longer to go through the complete process.
