Car looks great! Welcome to the world of rig shots, keep practicing and you can get some awesome results.
Here is mine, it might help you some...

Definitely pick up some ND filters to allow you to get that extra shutter time. Here's some of my rig shots. http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthew...7625711454164/

Thanks for all the comments!
Here is another one I just did
They are painted black chrome on the inside. But it is a very dark black chrome, darker than the evo 9s.
thanks. its a VIS trunk. Fitment was ok.. I had to modify the trunk latch by moving it further down, so it pulls the trunk tigher..
Thanks! Ive seen some of your stuff. I was looking through your blog lol
You have threaded couples? Can you tell me how much your ends of the pipes are threaded? Is it straight thread or NPT thread. NPT is nominal pipe thread and it is tapered so that it seals (when you actually want a sealed pipe lol)
What kind of couples are they? Just couplers you can find at home depot or something? Steel or Aluminum?
Would you mind posting a picture of the rig from the side. I want to see how much it flexes after attaching your camera on the end and the suction cups on the car. I kinda want to redo my rig.
I usually shoot at night and dont need the extra shutter time. What kind of shutter time are you using? I havent found a need to use more than 2 seconds...

I might have some photos of it on the car at home, it does sag about 4 inches or so after my camera is attached. Then again my camera is kinda heavy(d700).

My rig is aluminum EMT piping with aluminum couplers that I had threaded by a friend. I would say the poles are threaded 2 inches on each side so you have like 4 inches inside the coupler.
